It's that time of year again with the sun shining (it will) that makes us dust ourselves off and head out doors.  There's a lot to do in the beautiful Northwest.  When you're out doors, take deep breaths and stretch.  Start each day with a few simple stretches and before beginning any activity.  Satchel Paige, the great baseball pitcher, once said "When you're running a race, don't look back because somebody is probably gaining on you!"  Sound familiar to your day?  Worry causes stress and stress is one of the main causes of pain and disease which can lead to abnormal motion of the vertebrae in the spinal column.  This irritation may cause pain and dysfunction in your muscles, lymphatic and organ tissue, as well as neurologic imbalance.  At Capitol Chiropractic we seek the cause of illness in order to eliminate it instead of simply treating the symptoms.  Our team of providers offer years of experience in various facets of health care.

Dr. Don Lathrop is a specialist in neuromusculoskeletal conditions, has 25+ years of clinical experience with post graduate training in the fields of Neuromuscular Reeducation, Biocranial, and Decompression Therapy.  He has chosen a wonderful team of healthcare providers with the shared goal of not just relieving pain but ultimately restoring the body to its natural state of optimal health.

Judy Bernard, M.Ac, L.Ac. provides a gentle, safe and personalized approach in meeting your healthcare needs.  Acupuncture plays a key role to decrease pain, increase energy, relaxation and overall sense of wellbeing.  When combined with the other therapies, a total approach to health is achieved.

Julia Lea, LMP, specializes in Body Therapy and Trigger Point Therapy.  These techniques are a systematic breakdown of the muscles, bringing the body back into balance.  When the body has balance, pain is greatly reduced and becomes comfortable to live in again.  This type of body work is great for chronic pain, trauma and overall health.

Patricia Winter, LMP,  works primarily on injury treatment through various techniques including:  Deep Tissue, Swedish, Pin & Stretch, Myofascial Release and Intra-Oral Massage (for TMJD).  Massage helps to break the pain cycle and increases circulation, helping the body heal quicker from an injury, and for relaxation.

Laura Johnson, LMP,  specializes in Deep Tissue Massage for acute injuries.  Massage helps to both physically and mentally foster faster healing of strained muscles and sprained ligaments.

Lyndsey Holmes, LMP, Lyndsie Holmes, L.M.P. My massage varies from relaxation to injury
treatment using various techniques including: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pin & Stretch, & Myofascial Release. As a former athlete I know the importance of keeping muscles happy and healthy. Massage helps the body heal quicker from an injury, can also help to decrease stress and increase relaxation and performance.

Suzanne Sund, LMP, specializes in Zen Bodytherapy (R) and Trigger Point Myofascia Release, and TMJ work. These modalities assist the body to return to more normal posture and help muscles to move freely in the body allowing pain to be released. Releasing pain is not an easy thing to do, but valuable in order to live a life of peace and joy.

Danette Bakewell, LMP, Danette Bakewell, L.M.P. has been a Licensed Massage Practitioner for over 8 years. For me massage is not just about helping people, it's about how they got hurt or when an injury occurred. I look at the muscles like puzzle pieces; so many shapes, sizes and connection points. It's an amazing never ending challenge.
