Dr. Donald Lathrop

Capitol Chiropractic was founded by Donald R. Lathrop, DC, who graduated with highest honors from Cleveland Chiropractic in Los Angeles, California in 1977.  Dr. Lathrop has been in chiropractic care for over 25 years.  He was born and raised in Olympia where he returned to start  Capitol Chiropractic Center a wellness center devoted to care for the entire family.  He and his wife, Candence, have three sons: Chris, Jarred and Jonathon.

While Dr. Lathrop's specialty is diversified chiropractic technique, he keeps apprised of the latest training and methodology.  He continually works in conjunction with physicians, naturopaths, nutritionists, acupuncturists and massage therapists.  He has extensive experience with auto and work related injuries, sports injuries, rehabilitatation and wellness.  He knows that proper relaxation, nutritional support and working with the muscles and tissues surrounding the skeletal structure are all vital parts of complete chiropractic care and essential for spiritual, mental and physical health.

Julia Lea, LMP, specializes in Body Therapy and Trigger Point Therapy.  These techniques are a systematic breakdown of the muscles, bringing the body back into balance.  When the body has balance, pain is greatly reduced and becomes comfortable to live in again.  This type of body work is great for chronic pain, trauma and overall health.

 

 

Patricia Winter, L.M.P

Scheduling appointments for Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday.

Patricia Winter, LMP,  works primarily on injury treatment through various techniques including:  Deep Tissue, Swedish, Pin & Stretch, Myofascial Release and Intra-Oral Massage (for TMJD).  Massage helps to break the pain cycle and increases circulation, helping the body heal quicker from an injury, and for relaxation. 

 

 

Laura Johnson L.M.P.

Laura Sweeney, LMP,  specializes in Deep Tissue Massage for acute injuries.  Massage helps to both physically and mentally foster faster healing of strained muscles and sprained ligaments.

Judy Bernard, M.Ac, L.Ac. provides a gentle, safe and personalized approach in meeting your healthcare needs.  Acupuncture plays a key role to decrease pain, increase energy, relaxation and overall sense of wellbeing.  When combined with the other therapies, a total approach to health is achieved.

Suzanne Sund, L.M.P. specializes in Zen Bodytherapy (R) and Trigger Point Myofascia Release, and TMJ work. These modalities assist the body to return to more normal posture and help muscles to move freely in the body allowing pain to be released. Releasing pain is not an easy thing to do, but valuable in order to live a life of peace and joy.

Danette Bakewell, L.M.P. has been a Licensed Massage Practitioner for over 8 years. For me massage is not just about helping people, it's about how they got hurt or when an injury occurred. I look at the muscles like puzzle pieces; so many shapes, sizes and connection points. It's an amazing never ending challenge.
