It's that time of year again with the sun shining (it will) that makes us dust ourselves off and head out doors.  There's a lot to do in the beautiful Northwest.  When you're out doors, take deep breaths and stretch.  Start each day with a few simple stretches and before beginning any activity.  Satchel Paige, the great baseball pitcher, once said "When you're running a race, don't look back because somebody is probably gaining on you!"  Sound familiar to your day?  Worry causes stress and stress is one of the main causes of pain and disease which can lead to abnormal motion of the vertebrae in the spinal column.  This irritation may cause pain and dysfunction in your muscles, lymphatic and organ tissue, as well as neurologic imbalance.  At Capitol Chiropractic we seek the cause of illness in order to eliminate it instead of simply treating the symptoms.  Our team of providers offer years of experience in various facets of health care.
As a specialist in neuromusculoskeletal conditions, I have 25+ years of clinical experience with post graduate training in the fields of Neuromuscular Reeducation, Biocranial, and Decompression Therapy.  Let me introduce our team of healthcare providers with the shared goal of not just relieving pain but ultimately restoring the body to its natural state of optimal health.

Jason Walker, D.C.  has brought his experience in chiropractic care and rehabilitation treatment procedures to Capitol Chiropractic.  Through scientific principles of diagnostic testing and empirical observation, Dr. Walker will work one on one with our patients that require rehabilitation.  Patient specific exercises are demonstrated and outlined for the best possible outcome. These exercises and stretches can be done in the  comfort of your own home.  For people who suffer from chronic pain, have been in an auto accident or work related or sports injury, or would simply like to improve their posture, Dr.Walker would be happy to assist you.

Judy Bernard, M.Ac, L.Ac. provides a gentle, safe and personalized approach in meeting your healthcare needs.  Acupuncture plays a key role to decrease pain, increase energy, relaxation and overall sense of wellbeing.  When combined with the other therapies, a total approach to health is achieved.

Julia Lea, LMP, specializes in Body Therapy and Trigger Point Therapy.  These techniques are a systematic breakdown of the muscles, bringing the body back into balance.  When the body has balance, pain is greatly reduced and becomes comfortable to live in again.  This type of body work is great for chronic pain, trauma and overall health.

Patricia Winter, LMP,  works primarily on injury treatment through various techniques including:  Deep Tissue, Swedish, Pin & Stretch, Myofascial Release and Intra-Oral Massage (for TMJD).  Massage helps to break the pain cycle and increases circulation, helping the body heal quicker from an injury, and for relaxation.

Laura Sweeney, LMP,  specializes in Deep Tissue Massage for acute injuries.  Massage helps to both physically and mentally foster faster healing of strained muscles and sprained ligaments.
